Veteran actor Kevin Bacon has joined Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, a sequel to the Beverly Hills Cop action films. The movie will air on Netflix.
Bacon has starred in numerous films including Footloose, Sleepers, Apollo 13, A Few Good Men, JFK and Mystic River.
Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot have joined the cast of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, reuniting with Eddie Murphy after first starring together in Beverly Hills Cop in 1984. There have been three additional movies in the series.
The new Beverly Hills Cop film is now under production and Bacon joins the original Beverly Hills Cop cast.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige will also be in the movie.
Producers include Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman for Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Eddie Murphy.
Netflix hasn’t released a date for the movie but will likely be sometime in 2023.
