Independent Research Firm Names McAfee a Leader in Cloud Workload Security Report

Analyst Firm Evaluates McAfee for Product Offering, Strategy and Market Presence

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McAfee, the device-to-cloud cybersecurity company, today announced that market research firm Forrester recognized the company as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cloud Workload Security, Q4 2019. McAfee® Cloud Workload Security (CWS), together with McAfee MVISION Cloud and NanoSec’s container protection, earned McAfee this recognition based on its scores in current offering, strategy and market presence.

Forrester defines CWS as solutions that provide an automated and centralized way of securing cloud workloads1. The Forrester Wave, which evaluates and ranks products in this category, provides security leaders with evaluations of the 13 providers that matter most and how they stack up. Forrester evaluated the most significant CWS vendors based on 30 criteria and conducted a detailed technical evaluation of each product as well as an analysis of each provider’s market presence and strategy.

“We’re excited to be placed as a Leader in Forrester’s Wave for Cloud Workload Security,” said Ash Kulkarni, executive vice president and chief product officer of the Enterprise Business, McAfee. “McAfee Cloud Workload Security solutions enable organizations to secure Infrastructure-as-a-Service workloads and containers across AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware and their private cloud. We believe this recognition is yet another validation of McAfee’s cloud-native approach to helping businesses overcome the security challenges of adopting a multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environment.”

McAfee CWS, which is an important pillar of McAfee’s Cloud Security Solution Portfolio, automates the discovery and defense of elastic workloads and containers to eliminate blind spots, accelerate response times, deliver advanced threat defense, and simplify multi-cloud management. McAfee provides protection that makes it possible for a single, automated policy to effectively secure workloads across all IT environments (physical, virtual and public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud), enabling operational excellence for cybersecurity teams.
