DoorDash wants its app to be a mall in your pocket.
DoorDash is expanding its retail Marketplace with new partnerships across apparel, beauty, and home: Macy’s, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans, and Timberland are all now available to shop, with fast delivery from these national stores. DoorDash is also launching a new return offering, making it just as easy to send something back as it was to order it.
For retailers, it’s new consumers and a new growth channel, from the stores they already have.
“This is what we mean by the mall in your pocket: the brands you already know and trust, on the shelf near you, delivered as easily as walking into the mall used to be. You can get Macy’s or Anthropologie in as little as an hour, and return it just as easily if it’s not right, no box, no label, back on the shelf and the money back in your pocket,” said Shanna Prevé, Chief Revenue Officer at DoorDash. “For retailers, it means turning the stores they already have into a growth channel, not a warehouse three states away.”

Macy’s: Starting this month, consumers can shop the iconic retailer’s apparel, beauty, and home assortment on the DoorDash Marketplace, with delivery from more than 350 stores nationwide. The partnership will also take center stage this holiday season as DoorDash joins Macy’s for the first time in the milestone 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®, debuting Dashing All the Way by DoorDash, a new float highlighting the variety of selection available on DoorDash, including holiday gifts and more from Macy’s. Together, these announcements mark a new chapter in a relationship dating back to 2020, when DoorDash began powering Macy’s first-party delivery through Drive On-Demand.

Anthropologie: From fashion and bridal to home and gifting, consumers can now discover the brand’s curated, design-led assortment, including clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, home décor, and more, across more than 220 stores nationwide.

VF Corporation brands, The North Face, Vans, and Timberland: With more than 350 stores nationwide, consumers can get winter-ready outerwear, fleece, and gear from The North Face, as well as Timberland’s iconic Yellow Boot or Handsewn Boat Shoe, delivered on demand. Vans also brings iconic footwear and apparel to the Marketplace, including classics like the Old Skool and Checkerboard Slip-On.
Returns Made Easy
Shopping on DoorDash means shopping with less risk. If something doesn’t fit or isn’t right, returning it doesn’t require a box, a label, or a trip to the mailbox. With Dasher Returns, consumers pay a flat fee of $7.99 to schedule a return for an eligible retail order, and a Dasher can pick it up from their door in as fast as 30 minutes and bring it back to the store. The return is processed on the spot, the item can go directly back on the shelf, and the consumer receives their refund within days.
Dasher Returns are available now in select cities and expected to roll out across the U.S. this November.
