US Adding 1,000 MIllionaires Per Day

According to the UBS World Wealth Report, the United States hosts the largest number of millionaires (in U.S. dollars) in the world by far – more than Western Europe and Greater China combined. There were 23,831,000 millionaires in the U.S. in 2024 or 39.7% of the world’s wealth. The U.S. is adding 1,000 new millionaires per day.

Wealth accumulation comes primarily from the stock market and real estate holdings.

Per capita, UBS found the highest density of millionaires in Switzerland and Luxembourg.

The U.S. has the second highest average adult wealth behind Switzerland with $620,654. This average is skewed by a few very wealthy individuals.

UBS projects over 5 million new millionaires will be added to the world by 2029.

There are a total of 2,891 billionaires worldwide at the end of 2024.
