Police Arrest Prolific Shoplifters

<p>On June 10&comma; the San Francisco Police Department’s Defend Against Retail Theft &lpar;DART&rpar; Organized Retail Crime &lpar;ORC&rpar; Task Force received a request for help from a retail establishment for habitual retail thefts&period; SFPD worked closely with the retail establishment and conducted the investigation by interviewing retail employees&comma; reviewing surveillance videos and footage&comma; and developing strategic tactics&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>SFPD DART investigators were able to identify 2 suspects with the assistance of Tenderloin Station officers and the Daly City Police Department through ongoing inter-agency collaborations&period; Based on evidence and witness accounts&comma; the estimated total value of stolen merchandise was over &dollar;15&comma;000&period; SFPD DART ORC Task Force subsequently determined there were 17 chargeable cases between April and July 2025&comma; and arrested Samuel Shrimpton and Ryan Twedell for a <strong>total of 17 cases at various retail stores throughout San Francisco&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>2000 block of Fillmore Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>400 block of Powell Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Unit block of Point Lobos Avenue<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>1300 block of Castro Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>500 block of Market Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>2400 block of San Bruno Avenue<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>2300 block of 16th Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>2100 block of Market Street<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><strong>On July 1st&comma; Samuel Shrimpton &lpar;28-year-old male&rpar; was arrested on the following charges&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>6 counts of Burglary &&num;8211&semi; 459 PC &lpar;2nd degree&rpar;&sol;felony<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>8 counts of Grand Theft &&num;8211&semi; 487&lpar;a&rpar; PC&sol;felony<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>5 counts of Organized Retail Theft &&num;8211&semi; 490&period;4&lpar;a&rpar;&lpar;1&rpar; PC&sol;felony<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><strong>On July 11&comma; Ryan Twedell &lpar;33-year-old male&rpar; was arrested on the following charges&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>9 counts of Burglary &&num;8211&semi; 459 PC &lpar;2nd degree&rpar;&sol;felony<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>11 counts of Grand Theft &&num;8211&semi; 487&lpar;a&rpar; PC&sol;felony<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>15 counts of Organized Retail Theft &&num;8211&semi; 490&period;4&lpar;a&rpar;&lpar;1&rpar; PC&sol;felony and misdemeanors<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>7 counts of Petty Theft &&num;8211&semi; 459&period;5&lpar;a&rpar; PC&sol;misdemeanor<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Vandalism &&num;8211&semi; 594&lpar;a&rpar;&lpar;2&rpar; PC&sol;misdemeanor<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;
