Gartner’s evaluation of application release orchestration (ARO) products is based on use cases surrounding release orchestration; pipeline and environment management; and deployment automation
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CloudBees, the enterprise DevOps leader powering the continuous economy, today announced CloudBees (Electric Cloud*) received the highest scores for all three use cases defined in Gartner’s 2019 Critical Capabilities for Application Release Orchestration (ARO)1. CloudBees Flow 9.0 (Electric Cloud ElectricFlow) placed highest in each use case for the second straight year, with two of the use case evaluations increasing over the prior-year period.
Gartner’s process evaluates products on a five-point scale. CloudBees (Electric Cloud) received highest scores from Gartner across all use cases in the 2019 Critical Capabilities for Application Release Orchestration (ARO): Release Manager (4.9/5), Application/Product Owner (4.9/5), DevOps/Application Operations Team Member (4.9/5).
“ARO tools enable DevOps teams to automate application deployments, manage continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines and orchestrate release workflows,” noted Daniel Betts, Chris Saunderson, Christopher Little and Hassan Annaciri in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Application Release Orchestration. “I&O leaders must assess the capabilities of these tools to improve application delivery cadence and support digital business initiatives.”
