Higher-ed marketing leader to champion Ellucian’s digital transformation solutions

Loeb is a seasoned marketer, strategist and business leader, with an extensive background in education technology.

About Sharon Loeb
As CMO, Loeb will join the Executive Leadership Team and drive strategic marketing initiatives and growth focused on digital transformation and the move to cloud. She will lead all aspects of the global Brand Marketing, Field Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Global Programs, Marketing Communications, and Marketing Operations organizations.
Throughout her 20-year career in the education technology industry, Loeb has been a transformational leader recognized for designing and deploying creative marketing and communications initiatives, including go-to-market strategies that increase brand affinity and generate demand. She comes to Ellucian most recently from Cengage Learning where she served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In this capacity, she led all aspects of marketing, communications and public affairs in support of company objectives.
Prior to Cengage Learning, Loeb served as vice president of marketing for McGraw-Hill Higher Education where she directed all marketing and communications efforts across several business units. Her extensive background in education technology also includes additional roles at McGraw-Hill Education as well as Pearson Education Canada. Loeb holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from York University and a Master of Arts degree in philosophy from University of Toronto.
