Address Profile Digg is a social news website that links to headlines of stories chosen by its members. The stories with the most "diggs" get the top billing on the site. Digg has become a popular Web service and has once ranked among the top 25 sites according to Alexa. The site's audience is predominantly male and employed in the technology field with over 20 million unique visitors monthly. It was founded in 2004 by Kevin Rose, Jay Adelson, Owen Byrne and Ron Gorodetzky. The company has received venture funding from Greylock Partners and Omidyar Network, which is run by Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay. In September 2008, the company announced funding of $28.7 million.
