SAN FRANCISCO — App Annie, an app data and insights platform, announced it has acquired app marketing data company AppScotch to expand its technology capabilities.
With San Francisco-headquartered AppScotch, this marks App Annie’s third acquisition in two years following the acquisition of Dutch firm Distimo in 2014 and the Canadian firm Mobidia in 2015. Following a recent funding round, this new deal strengthens App Annie’s position as the most trusted provider of app data and insights in today’s evolving app economy.
“Apps are changing the world, creating amazing opportunities for individuals and for businesses of all sizes. We help companies seize these opportunities. App Annie is developing its next wave of innovative products that clients will find invaluable in planning their app development and marketing strategies and this acquisition supports this development.”
