<p>According to the UBS World Wealth Report, the United States hosts the largest number of millionaires (in U.S. dollars) in the world by far – more than Western Europe and Greater China combined. There were 23,831,000 millionaires in the U.S. in 2024 or 39.7% of the world&#8217;s wealth. The U.S. is adding 1,000 new millionaires per day.</p>
<p>Wealth accumulation comes primarily from the stock market and real estate holdings.</p>
<p>Per capita, UBS found the highest density of millionaires in Switzerland and Luxembourg.</p>
<p>The U.S. has the second highest average adult wealth behind Switzerland with $620,654. This average is skewed by a few very wealthy individuals.</p>
<p>UBS projects over 5 million new millionaires will be added to the world by 2029.	</p>
<p>There are a total of 2,891 billionaires worldwide at the end of 2024.</p>
