On the same day Apple released updates to Mac OS and iPad OS, the company quietly increased pricing for the Apple TV+ video service and the Apple Music service.

Apple TV+ is going up from $4.99 per month to $6.99 starting now. The streaming service has been priced very low compared to Netflix and Disney+ yet has some major award winners in its catalog. The comedy Ted Lasso has won the Emmy Award for Best Comedy the past two years and the movie CODA won the Academy Award this year for Best Picture.

Apple Music is getting a $1 price increase from $9.99 to $10.99 per month. Apple Music recently announced it surpassed 100 million songs this month, more than any other music service. Apple Music is also sponsoring the Super Bowl halftime show starting next year which is likely costing the company tens of millions of dollars.

The Apple One package which includes Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music and extra storage space is also increasing in price. The individual package is increasing from $14.95 per month to $16.95 per month. The family package, which allows sharing of five accounts, is now $22.95 per month, up from $19.95.
